"Parenthood : It's hard at times, if you're doing it right."

Do you agree or disagree?

I personally agree because I find nothing about raising a child to be the best they can be and setting a good example at all times, easy. It boggles my mind when I hear mothers say, "It's not hard at all to be a parent." I believe it comes more naturally to some than others, but I personally think it should be hard at times.

Just wondering, do you agree or disagree with the statement above? Why or why not?

I think it's definitely hard at times to be a parent if you're doing it right. All parents have to make tough choices that seem hard at the time but they are doing the right thing as a parent (hopefully).

Of course its hard work! Instilling discipline and manners takes time and effort.
My kid frustrates me to the point of exhaustion when he's being naughty and I have to discipline him to ensure he knows about rules and boundaries, these things will make him a good person. Kids need to learn respect, people who don't have a hard time let their kids get away with everything and end up with naughty kids that other people look down on.

I agree. No matter how naturally it comes to a person, there are still headaches and brick walls to run into.

it is hard if it was easy then maybe you arent paying as much attention as you should and thats why its easier, my kids have tempers and my 4 yr old has nervous ticks i find it hard to calm them especially my son who got his anxiety from me, yes i can relate but its hard to help a child to understand and my hope is that his anxiety will diminish before adulthood and hard work always pays off as they say the easiest road traveled is not always the right one

Agree for sure, I cant imagine it being easy.

I ask, because on facebook, I have a friend whose younger than me, and she made a status saying "Being a teen mom isn't hard at all. It's just hard to wake up with a baby. Whats so hard about having a kid?"
And this is bad, but I couldn't help but think, "you must not be paying your own bills..." then, I thought, "hell, even if you're not, it's STILL hard. Tell me what's so easy about it?"
I mean, I shouldn't think that way.. but it just boggles my mind when I hear that. It makes me wonder, do all parents think that way? Because I have one, and getting up with her, nursing her back to health when she's not feeling well, hell, that's the easy part.

def not easy there is so many things that are including with raising a child bills, medical expenses, life insurance, college fund etc lots of money go into raising a child not only that time precious time you are molding a child into what they are going to be for the rest of their life how can that possibly be easy to make sure they stay on the right path

I feel like if it's easy, maybe you're not taking it very seriously. I mean, yes, it comes naturally to some. Some just have a strong maternal instinct, but it goes beyond that to me.
I know someone who is 19 with 4 kids under the age of 4 and she always says how easy it is. Crazy to me!
I probably sound judgmental as hell, though.

not at all hun i mean im maternal myself but that dont make it easy lol im about to have 3 im due in june i have 2 right now, and i can def tell you its not i live in a basement (finished no kitchen tho and 2 bdrm) my hubby cant find a job i may have one in the spring i have no credit and hubby has bad so chances of us getting a home of our own is very slim we are about to lose our bedroom to the kids lol and have to move out into the living room due to the lack of space we live with the hubbys family and even tho im naturally maternal nothing about parenting my children is easy lol

the more kids I have the easier it is. I don't find kids difficult to raise. it's about consistency and love. can't go wrong
