posted 5th Jan
Im so depressed today , i have to leave the hospital without my baby because she has jaundice due to the fact that she was born with a different blood type than mine and my blood cells attacked hers , in her case if it was left untreated it could cause brain damage so im glad they noticed on time but it brakes my heart to leave my baby in the nicu ! I just want to cry !

Both my babies had it, Carter had to stay in the hospital & violet got to come home but had to be seen by the pedis everyday for her first week & on a billi blanket. It'll be better- the way I thought of it was if Jaundice was our only battle, we should feel grateful. Good luck

No at 2 days old she was only at an 8, it will rise if they don't go under the lights & the billi blanket isn't as intense so it doesn't have as quick of results. If it would have been over 10 they would have kept her- which I wish they would have anyway just so she didn't have to go to the doctor and get pricked every day for a week. But they knew what they were doing, Carter's was like your daughters- high right away so they kept him.
