Is CIO considered acceptable?

At 10 months will my kid think I don't love her? Will she think she can't count on me? I'm pretty against CIO in young infants... but I practically have a toddler now and I'm at my wits end.

This past month or she has been hell to get to sleep.

To the point where I'm so frustrated and pissed off that I have some pretty bad thoughts.

I've tries warm baths, rocking her, less napping during the day, warm bottles... EVERYTHING.

I think I'm about to lose it if she does this one more night. She just fights its so hard even when she is clearly sleepy. Then its even worse when she can tell mommy is getting pissed off.
We even co-sleep and she still fights it laying I'm bed with us.

I have anxiety attacks every night trying to.put her to bed. Not only is it effecting my mental health but my relationship too... we can't ever have sex because she just won't sleep!

I just wanna cry and I often do just trying to.make her sleep.

I began around 8 months and it such a life saver. If she cries for over 6 minutes go in, lie her back down and walk out again. They get the drift eventually. LO picked up on it quick.

My pedi recommended 6months but my DS isn't that old yet so I haven't really considered it. I think 10months is reasonable though.

I did it from 10 months, with my 2nd,with no more than 3 minute intervals.
I'd ask you she to be the one to resettle.
Put her in her crib, tuck her in, say goodnight... Walk out. Wait for three min if she cries go back, repeat.
Listen to her cries it's mostly angry yelling not a hurt cry.
Don't give in, it sounds horrible but you all need sleep.
Don't rock or bf her to sleep.
Don't lessen any day sleeps, sleep breeds sleep.
Trust me! It takes 3 days, do the same for naps- I think she would be having one or two?

I had a sleep expert come to my home as I was desperate!

If this is new behavior are you sure she isn't just teething or having an ear ache or something else? Somewhere around a year my older one started being fussy at bedtime & he also bedshared & nursed. So after a few days of super frustration I sat up in bed & held him & went to sleep. So I did that a few days (he was still more restless than usual, but at least he'd sleep) and then I saw a tooth popped through. So I had been angry with him, when all along, he was actually being pretty good about teething, I just didn't catch that his sleep "resistance" was likely discomfort. :/

But don't do the CIO if she's at all unwell.

It's 3 min- feels like an eternity but worth it

we started at about 9 months Lo went threw a spurt like that where he would pitch a fit when we put him to bed. we started putting him down telling him we love him and walking out. he would scream and get up and start jumping in his crib. every 5 mins we would go back in and lay him back down. it took a good week and a half but he finally got it. crib = bed Idk how you feel about it but we gave him a teddy bear and a cloth book to look at and play with until he falls asleep he loves the teddy he is always cuddling it LOL
