My son didn't start walking or clapping until he was 15 months old. He took a couple steps at a year old and would walk if you held his hand but he was terrified of walking by himself. Then one day he just kind of took off. I think walking is a 15 month milestone, anyway. As long as it's done before 15 months he should be fine. As far as the talking, my son is almost 2 and still says no words at all. He's just now starting to try to say "b" words. He says "ba" for anything that starts with a b. Bye bye, bath, ball, it's all "ba" He's speech delayed but he has nothing wrong as far as having any mental disabilities or special needs. At his one year appointment just bring up any concerns you have with his pedi but I wouldn't worry too much

I dont think so. They say a child can take all the way up to 18months to walk.

does he grab things?
can he use a spoon? not like us but at least try.
can he eat foods without help?

my son when he was that age said mama and dada and baba. thats one more word. and i was told this is normal.

but they asked me those three things right there.

He seems to be at the same level as my DD, she will be one on the 27th. She does clap though, and she will repeat what I do like if I am blowing on food to cool it off she will start blowing, if I shake my hand she will do the same, it is pretty funny. But yea I think they are at the same level so I don't think either of them are too off.

He can feed himself with picking food up. He grabs everything. Walks with a push toy and around furniture. He will copy all b words but they are all ba. He tries to drink put of cups all the time as well.

He sounds like a normal 1 year old. If you are to worried about it you can always bring it up with his doctor.
