Really really simple. Io is eye-oh and Iolynn is eye-oh-lynn.

I found that Iolyn with one n is Welshe and is a masculine name.

I also found Iolana is a feminine Hawaiian name. I like Iolana better.

Ilona is a feminine Hungarian, German, Polish, Czech, Finnish, Lativian and Lithuanian name.

Iolynn and Io from what I can find are not real names but hey it's your kid.

If I had my arm twisted behind my back and had to chose between Iolynn and Io I would simply choose Iolynn. Io seems incomplete to me.

Cleona from what I can find is also not a real name. Cleon is a masculine Ancient Greek name. Cliona (with an accent mark over the "I") is a feminine Irish name.

I stand corrected about Io. I apologize. It is Greek.

SO was hell bend on changing the spelling of Cliona because it starts withCli and that reminds him of clit.

We've been bouncing Iona around because SO hates Iolana with a passion (why? I have no idea because I agree because Iolana Noelle sounds perfect.) He likes Io but she was transformed into cow. I mean come on, middle school would be hell if that was her first name.
