Babies are often fed more breastmilk (when getting bottle fed)as they get older, but they don't need more breastmilk. Formula doesn't change over time, so in order to give baby more fat, calories & nutrition, you give more ounces. Breasts peak on production usually by week 4 ish - so from there on out they make about 19-30 oz per baby & average is around 25 oz per day. Thank goodness to as who wants the milk production to increase in volume until your boobs drag on the ground? ;) That doesn't generally change much at all from that until after they are a year & may cut back quite a bit - but certainly it stabilizes through 6 months.
