hi and welcome! you're welcome to join. however, Slytherin house is currently "full" (check the OP). You can still play along with the trivia. just submit your name and put "waiting" instead of your house name. we need more players for the other houses before you can officially be sorted. if you would like to join right away, you can join another house for this house cup (end april 1st). I think Ravenclaw and especially Gryffindor are the houses that currently need players.

The Ministry of Magic said a gas explosion happened to cover up what event? In other words, something happened and in order to cover it up, the Ministry claimed there was a gas explosion. What was the event that happened?
Peter Pettigrew (though believed to be Sirius Black at the time) blew up a street and killed 12 Muggles. (I took all answers that mentioned an explosion, a spell or Muggles dying. Just mentioning the capture of Sirius was not enough for credit, as the purpose of saying there was a gas explosion was to cover up the damage from the confrontation between Peter and Sirius.)

Didn't someone once say in this thread that they never stated in the book, which position Harry played in Quidditch? 'Cause I have founf numerous places that say it quite clearly.

i think it was james that they didn't say what position but they do in the movies

I'm pretty sure it was Harry's father's position in Quidditch.
