Everything says seeker, but Rowling says chaser

I've never heard of him playing anything other than Seeker

The book doesn't say anything at all, just "Quidditch"

Well when answers are given you're supposed to cite your source, so as long as your answer was what the source said then it would be right. But since you're not supposed to use the internet if you used general knowledge (like something you heard/read in an interview with JK Rowling) then you would cite "from memory", and if the asker counted it wrong then you could ask them if its ok for you to provide a source link. I think it would be up to person asking as to whether or not they would take an answer that way. Personally, if I was asking the question and that situation happened, I would take it (provided it was a valid source).

But would that be allowed since you can't use the internet?

The idea of "not using the internet" is that you don't just Google the answer right away. If you remembered hearing/reading it in an interview then that's fine. Just be able to mention that if the person asking the question says "wtf is this answer" and in an ideal world, be able to find a link to it.

Yeah I mean it would go like this:

Question: What position did James Potter play in Quidditch?

Then you would send in your answer, Chaser (from memory)

Then if the person counted your answer wrong, you could post in here or PM them saying that you can provide a link proving that JK Rowling stated he was a chaser and that the movie was wrong. Then you would need to find a link with a transcript of the interview.

It's fine to look up information after your answers have been submitted and/or the question is closed.

Generally about 24-48 hours. It's a little bit at the discretion of the question-asker. But a minimum of 24.
