they gave me something in my IV if I asked for it.

It looks like a variation of this thing. It delivers morphine directly to the spine every so often and then you can administer an extra dose every so often if you need extra.

I had nothing like.that.

Oh yeah so you had a port then. That's not the kind of picc line I have lol. Mine is in my arm and has a catheter going straight to my heart. It's bc I have to have iv antibiotics at home for 6 weeks. If you Google picc line you can see what I mean.
