Picky eater..?

posted 4th Jan
My 4 year old has always been tiny, right now he is almost 38 pounds. I used to think he was just small and would gain eventually but recently he started making him self throw up after he eats, or will say he doesn't want to eat because he will throw up. I took him to his pediatrician and all she could say is that he is picky and to just keep finger food out where he can reach it and he will eat eventually.

Does anyone else have such a picky eater that they just wont eat ANYTHING? Can a 4 year old have an eating disorder?

Does your LO also have a problem with diarrhea? Or is it just the vomiting? DD and I both are "picky", but the main thing is hyperthyroidism, which causes IBD and vomiting along with inability to gain weight. She's 5 years old and 36lbs.

He may have some kind of issue w/ textures.
DS is 3 and NEVER eats. I honestly don't know how he survives, other than being on vitamins. Things he use to love, he won't even attempt to try it. He eats a lot of breakfast sausage bc thats the only thing that I can get him to eat at the moment. I find myself stressed out about it everyday, but there's nothing I can do, really. I can't force him..

He will go without eating for a few days at a time. I thought he was eating in preschool because they are supposed to be feeding him breakfast and lunch but I just found out he wont eat there either so when he was skipping dinner I wasn't that worried because I thought he was at least eating throughout the day when he wasn't with me.

My son is like this. It has even been brought up to us at school. It's weird though because he will eat the same things over and over and not gag, but like just randomly will gag and throw up the exact same thing he ate the day before just fine. I've noticed that if I leave out fruit and cheese, crackers. He will eat it. So I've just been doing this.

What's weird to me is that he wasn't like this. He ate anything and everything.

They only thing he will eat willingly is yogurt, and that's randomly. I just don't understand how he has the energy to run around all day like he does off of nothing. If I ate a little as he did I wouldn't even be able to crawl out of bed! His doctor didn't even think it was a big deal and just brushed it off like I'm exaggerating

No diarrhea, he jut makes him self throw up. He even has my two year old running to the bathroom yelling he has to throw up and he is starting to eat less, but he is still breastfeeding so I'm less worried about him and know why he's doing it at least
