Am I a total bitch??

Ugh. Soooo I was at work today doing the Friday cleaning/closing. The girl I work with asked if I wanted her to change my daughter. I responded, "if she needs it, yeah." She asked if I was upset with her and I said, "no, why?" She said I was just being "short" with her and didn't look her in her eyes to respond and gave her an attitude. All I said was, "No I didn't give you an attitude, I'm just trying to get the cleaning done. If she needs changed then, yes change her but if not then don't." I continued doing what I was doing and a few minutes later she said she was leaving. Okay? No biggie so I kept doing what I needed to do. About 15 minutes later my boss comes in and says I need to tell her what happened that upset ____ so badly that she needed to leave work early. Wtf?!
Soooo was I being a bitch? I feel like a simple question gets a simple answer.

I typically give short and to the point answers too....I don't think you were bitchy but some people are super sensitive.

Some people don't realize that they come off upset when busy. My husband is that way and its so damn annoying he doesn't even notice that he sounded that way. But for her to cry over it is a bit dramatic

Well it was short and if shes hormonal or sensitive then that could have upset her, but idk her so idk.

I wouldn't be offended. Maybe she's just sensitive.

Hmm... Idk how though?? Like what would have been an appropriate response?? We work in a daycare and te babies get changed every 2 hours. Sooooooo if its been 2 hours since her last diaper change then why even ask, right? Just do it.

Short responses can be seemed at rude.

She probably expected a friendly "yeah sure, if you think she needs it."

this is why I don't work at daycares anymore (I have worked at 3) being with all women 12 plus house a day im shocked I didn't kill some ppl lol is it her time of the month lol
