Like another mama said, short answers can seem rude. Like you're exasperated with her. Like maybe you were annoyed when she (from her point of view) was trying to be friendly/helpful.

Yeah. Personally it wouldn't bother me. When I am bust I tend to come off as snappy too. Everyone that really knows me, knows this and just ignores me haha.

Yeah. When my boss told me that I was like a meeting about what?!! She said she just doesn't want the girl to quit. I asked what she thought I could've done differently and she I should've stopped what I was doing and responded.
Soooooo I should stop everytime she says something?? Nothing will ever get done because Chatty Cathy over here talks all damn day!

I'm good at holding my tongue. If something is really bothering me, which rarely happens, I address it and move on. But these girls I work with are so emotional and crazy.

I talk to her alllllllllllllll day. ALL day. But when smurf needs done, I do it. I still listen and respond as needed but smuuuuurfrf lol. It's not like I ignore her all day and just give short answers. We have ongoing conversations throughout the day.

That's probably why she thought you were mad. If your responses through out the day are different this probably through her off. I would have thought you were mad too until you explain it.

It's really something you probably need to tell her. Like I say she probably finds it rude that you don't stop and not have short responses. Some people were brought up that way and don't know that's just how you are
