I leave dd in the car to pump gas, run into the ATM, and go to the post office. I would give the kid a medal if she could push down the clutch and brake at the same time to start the car.

My parents used to go grocery shopping and leave us in the car when we were her age. She's five.

I'still bring my 9 year old into the gas station with me if its necessary to go inside, but I wouldn't judge someone who didn't.

That is scary! I definitely wouldn't a three year old by themselves.

most states don't have an age that it is legal to be alone...just guidelines. And... in MN>.. tha'ts 9. As a nurse... I've taught classes in school teaching 9 year olds how to be responsible home alone. They just cannot be in charge of another child until 11 here.

DD stays in the car with her 4 yr old sister when getting gas, running into the bank (atm).

Thats about it. She is 10.5 yrs old And it only happens when I am not in thecar, lol I dont drive myself so its my dad who drives, If I am there then one of us stays in the car. lol
