Ok I willl definitely talk to them. My high risk doctor said sometimes they have problems with their digestive system when they're born around 24-28 weeks mostly and that they may have to feed him through a tube in his umbilical chord which they wouldn't be able to put breast milk through but if he does have that I could still rub colostrum on his lips which would help.
And no, I don't think its bad to have your daughter try to get your milk in! I think that you gotta do what you gotta do and if she doesn't have a problem with it then there is no problem. Everyone benefits.

Yeah it's not milk at all it's just like a nutrient stuff they do for the tiny ones who can't digest milk yet. So you'll have lots of time To pump and get your milk in if he's really early. But yeah I read in my guide to the nicu that for young ones who can't eat yet they take your milk on a qtip and swab their mouth so they get the antibodies.

So the hospital you're at has a nicu then? My regular hospital didn't so I had to go an hour away to te regional nicu   so nobody comes to see me.

Yep I'm in a pretty major city and this hospital supposedly has a great NICU. A girl in my due date group was telling me I should go to Boston buttt it's an hour and a half away and I cannot be without my husband and son, especially when I go into labor or have to have him taken out.
Last night when they were leaving my son told me to come home with them and that I didn't have to stay here   I started bawling. I can barely take 2 days idk how I'm going to last 2 months.
I can't imagine being an hour away!

you are def. in good hands there, its great that you or baby wont have to be transferred anywhere else if anything happens.. everything is right there and ive always heard good things about people who have delivered there.

Me too! I hate being in the hospital but I am glad this one is so close. Our landlord is letting us get out of our lease February 5, or if he can find someone to move in sooner then possibly in the next 2 weeks so Bill is trying to find an apartment in Chicopee so we will be like 5 minutes away. It's so important to be close because if he's born now he will be here for months and I need to be close. Also Bill and Will can stay later if they have a shorter drive home.

yea chicopee would b e good because you hop on 91,and you can get to baystate in 5-10 minutes

Where we used to live off front st by the center we were like 3-4 minutes away, just drive past the CVS on center st and it turns into Main st in Spfld. So I'm going to call that landlord back again today and a few others I found on Craigslist.

im on craigslist like everyday looking for apartments even though deep inside i dont want to move during the winter.. but will nto pass up something amazing. im just really picky about location.. like i want to stay in chicopee, or i would move to south hadley but thats it. and i think our kitchen is small til i see pictures of others and im like oh hell no. not paying move in fees if its truly not tons better than this place. i wish our place was cheaper so you guys could move here and i could watch will! lol

That's one thing I'm scared about is compromising because of the rush and then being stuck in a smurffy apartment with 2 kids for a yr!
And I cant even go look at them

I know mama. I wish I could tell you it gets easier. But I still cry when lylian and Sam have to leave   and on stretches where they can't come see me for days it's so hard   lylian says the same things to me. Last night Sam Hve me his sweater to keep here and I put it on and lylian smiled and goes "are you coming with us!?" it broke my heart.

As long as your hospital has a good nicu that's what matters. This is the only nicu in the area. It covers 18 counties.

Make sure bill takes lots o pics of the area outside and inside the place or even videos so u can see it and help make a decision. I agree I wouldn't wanna be stuck in a smurffy place that long either.
