January 1st,
I came home after grabbing something to eat, My husband got Chinese and I chose Subway. I decided to do a few things to help my body progress (thinking it would be forever until I went into labor!!) I inserted Primerose Oil, had intercourse, bounced on ball, played a game on Xbox that consisted of running in place, and then Chinese. I read somewhere that some people swear by it.. &My husband had some so.. I decided "why not". After all this, I didn't feel different. I was not surprised because I have been walking a lot and using primerose oil and felt like I was just waiting time.
Then I laid in bed, "pop" My water broke!
At first I was just like "oh great, I peed myself!" because it was just leaking. Then I stood up (it still running) got in the bathroom, and had a little blood going on. So, We headed to the hospital. (still leaking! lol)
I get to the hospital and have to sit at the desk doing paperwork in PAIN. I was beginning to have sort of intense contractions with people looking at me trying to dig out stuff out of my pocketbook even though I already had my papers filled out ahead of time. After that, I got to my room and the nurse looked to see how dilated I was, Just 3, But she sure made my water gush.
I was not given anything to speed up my labor, I just went with it and let my body progress by itself. After about 7 hours of being there, I could not take it anymore. I had to get the epidural. So, I got that about 4 am. Then my family started showing up. UGHH. I just wanted them all to leave. My mom was there &If y'all knew my mom.. You would understand. She stayed in my face the entire time! My dad was there, he stayed in the waiting room and he has refused to talk to me for going on a year. I think he showed up at the hospital just to piss me off. He didn't talk to me or my husband. It was a nightmare. I just wanted everyone gone.
So then, My nurses stop checking on me..
My husband had to go out in the hall and ask for them to check me, I was just 8. Well, 1 hour and a half later, I have the urge to push. I have not seen a nurse since they checked me and I felt like I just HAD to push this baby out. My husband runs around looking for someone to check me. When they did I was 10. Then the nurse says "Hold on, Let me find the Doctor"
40 minutes later:
Still with the urge to push, holding it. The nurse comes in and tells me the Doctor is in surgery but she can't wait anymore "duhh!"
So, around 8:50 the nurse started prepping me.
Around 9, I started to push and the doctor rushes in.
She was out at 9:10am
And had little tearing but not enough for stitches and I believe that it would have been worse if not for me using primerose oil. I think that it really does help you not to tear or have to get stitches.
She does have Jaundice but not a bad case.
We take her to her first appointment tomorrow, Wish us luck on her Jaundice update!
