Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex New Year's Day. He did came inside of me like a few times. Then in December we had sex also but I'm on the shot and in December i was comming off my shot. But December 20th i got my second shot. I was spotting before the 20th. I'm trying to figure out is it possible i got could get pregnant in December or January 2013. Cause i had this pain before and found our i was pregnant with my son (miscarried him at four months). Just need advice. And I really didn't know what forum to put this in so. Could the pain be the shot or something different

the shot is good for 12-14 wks and as long as you got the second with in the time frame, in theory, you shouldn't be preg...

What kind of pain is it?

Did you take a pregnancy test before you got the second shot?

No i didn't take one but before i got my second shot i was doing some bleeding. And we had sex before i got the shot on the 20th.

Yeah I know how long it last but my friend and my sister got pregnant while on the shot. How I have no idea but for doctors to say the shot is very good women are still getting pregnant.

I'm sure you could have gotten pregnant if the shot was "wearing off" at the beginning of December and you had sex towards the end. They should have given you a pregnancy test before giving you the second shot.

Honestly, I would take a test in the next week or so.

But...The shot could be causing you pain since I'm unsure of what kind of pain you're talking about and the location.

Its in the pit of my uterus like towards the bottom. Then it will towards my back sometimes like a dull backache. And my sister and my friend got pregnant while they was on the shot. Yes they took a pregnancy test at the doctor office but i think it was too early. Cause me and him had sex December the 16th or 18th

Alright, I see. You could very well be pregnant. But...That's anytime a couple has sex, there is always a chance of pregnancy. You can't determine it from the pain, though. When I found out I was pregnant, I was having normal period cramps like I do every month. I never would have guessed I was pregnant.

I suggest waiting a week and taking a test, just to rule out the possibility.

But for now...Try some tylenol and a warm bath?

I've heard of ppl getting preg on the shot that is why I said in theory.
