under weight baby?

So my 4 month old is under weight by 6 lbs... even tho he eats 8 oz every 2 hours. so they want to see him in two weeks to make sure he is packing the pounds on like he should.

has anyone ever had this problem with there baby?

Yes I was told my twins fell off of the growth charts just the other day. How much does the LO weigh. My babies were 9.5 and 10 lbs at 4 months.

How is that underweight?? Asher is 3 months and 13lbs. At birth he ws 8lbs 4 ounces.

Umm that's not under weight that's actually good. DD was 17 lb at 4 months I was never told she was under weight I was told she was chunky.

Just looked at the weight graph DS' weight is recorded on, 14lbs is in the middle range for 4 months old. like the normal range

Every baby develops differently. His weight sounds fine to me.

That's not underweight, and especially not by 6lbs!!

So they think a 4 month old needs to be 20lbs?

OP that's crazy. You should definitely have a talk with the pedi and find out why your baby has to be 20lbs right now.

she was telling me because of his weight if he doesnt pack the 6 pounds on she might have to have "someone" further look into in my house. she made me feel like i was a bad mom when i feed feed feed him. i make sure he is fed along with my toddler. eh
