I know that's crazy!!
A 20lb baby at 4-5 months would be on the top end of the charts, nearly off them.
DS is just over 20lbs at 6 months and he's considered a bit chunky but completely normal.

I don't think he's underweight. My son is 3 months today and only weighs 11 1/2 lbs. He was 6lbs 6ozs at birth. And my son doesn't eat nearly as much as yours does or as often. LoL. I think that's nuts they told you that. Don't worry about it in my opinion.

im thinking about finding a new doctor. now that i have you ladies input and finding out this is normal. see my toddler was a big baby he was a huge baby still is a huge toddler. so i didnt know if it was truly low or not.

My daughter is 4 months and she is 14 pounds as well. Others that I know who also have babies around 4 months of age, their little ones weigh 13-15lbs. Your doctor is an idiot.

My oldest was 20 lbs 4 oz at 6 months old and they told me he was almost too chunky. So 20 lbs for a 4-5 month old seems crazy.

Um.. my son was 17 lb at around 4 months and he was 96th percentile. Your doctor is wrong.

just like he might have PKD.. you can push on his sides to much due to if he has a cyst you can pop it and just a big no no and she still did it. but i need the ultra sound to make sure he doesnt have them yet. so im going with the flow of it until i get a new doctor. and she also tried to say my toddler is autistic because he is a little behind on speech. but i wanted to see if this was normal on the weight part or not. thank you ladies.
