Implantation vs Ovulation Bleeding

I went to my doctor today for my annual check up & to get a pap smear because it's been two years since my last one and she did the normal routine questions and asked "is there any chance you could be pregnant" and I said "no, DH and I use condoms." I also informed her that one had broken but it was three days prior to my ovulation starting and she kind of smiled and said "okay."

Half way through my pap smear she said "you have some slight bleeding" and the nurse assisting her said "it could be ovulation bleeding" and the doctor said "yeah that or it could be implantation bleeding because of the color and small amount." and I kind of said "what?" and she finished the exam and told me "don't stress out and if you miss your period call me!"

Like, WTF! Don't stress?? We use condoms! We're trying to prevent pregnancy!!

Has anybody ever heard of ovulation bleeding? If so have you ever had it? I've peed twice since my appointment and there is some slight dark brown blood. I have never had this before, and I've have my period since I was 11. Why would I start ovulation bleeding now?

I think its bleeding from the exam itself.

Do you mean 3 days before your surge or before ovulation because having sex 3 days before and sperm getting in there makes your chances pretty high because spermies live for a while.

But while she was up there? She had just put the speculum in and her first comment was about the bleeding. She just finished saying "okay, this will be cold" and her next sentence was about the blood.

I'm just nervous and kind of panicky    

Is it spotting?

That could be implantation bleeding.

I woke up with my period on December 20th so my ovulation should have been starting on the 31st or the 1st.
We had sex on the 27th and the 29th is when the condom broke.

Thats what it seems like she was implying! Having sex and the condom breaking 3 days before, is like a high chance of being pregnant. If your bleeding now, i would guess its either from the exam, which doesnt sound likely cause she found it right when she started, your period starting, or implantation bleeding.,

That is honestly close enough for pregnancy to happen if you ovulated on time.

Oh God. I hope it's my period come early. Me getting pregnant now could possibly mean DH gets a denied entry into the Navy and then we'll be really screwed

he leaves for basic March 5th and he already had to sign a waiver for DD & I as dependents. I'm sure they'd be less then thrilled to know he had another dependent on the way.

Yeah, it very possible lol... BUT it may be a sign! lol

Ugh, I feel so stupid. I should have remembered this from sex ed. I didn't even think twice about the broken condom honestly because I wasn't ovulating at the time so in my stupid mind it was "safe".

BUT if this is implantation bleeding, take a test in a couple days to a week! Should be able to get a postive if you are pregnant in a week!

Well hopefully you start soon! It doesn't mean 100% you are pregnancy but the chances are there.

Period is due the 20th I'll be testing on the 12th for sure and the 15th and the 20th and if AF doesn't rear her ugly head I'll be testing every single day after until she shows up. lol
I never got a true BFP with DD until I was almost two months along. Lets hope if there is a sea monkey inside of me this little bugger actually announces themselves.
