ouch my vag!

posted 4th Jan
Its so sore and it stings so bad to pee because of the stitches, how long before it gets better? And also after how long were you able to poop?

When you go pee spray water from a perineum bottle so the urine doesn't burn you. It's like heavenly bliss
And...you need to be on a stool softener. I know pooping seems scary right after birth but as per usual, you still need to have regular bowel movements to remain healthy.

I didn't poop until 4 days pp.
My stitches never burned but they were on the left side, they still hurt though, not too bad though. I'm a week pp.

It took about 2 weeks to feel completely better, and it took me like a week to be able to poop without laxatives lol. Did the hospital give you any Dermoplast? that smurf works wonders.

Especially about the peri bottle. I was almost sad when I didn't need to use mine anymore.

did they send you home with anything to help with the pain?
I used a peri bottle filled with warm water everytime I peed, squirt it down there while you pee, it helps a lot..
also you can spray dermaplast on your vagina before using the bathroom.
and for pooing... stool softners! I used them about 3 weeks after the baby

try and drink a LOT of water to calm down the acid in your urine it will make it much easier, along with the water bottle.

They didn't make you poop before you left the hospital?? They made me poop at least once and checked it.

I pooped the same day but couldn't push it out, was lucky it was soft. I ripped up towards my clit instead of down as is normal, and it stung for a good week and the pressure sitting down over the toilet didn't go away completely for like six months. And walking for an extended amount of time still makes my vag swell, and LO is 15 months.

My ritual was cleanse with water, dab dry, spray dermoplast, stand up and shove tucks pads against my vag and then pull my undies up

It took about three weeks to even remotely start feeling better for me. But the numbing spray definitely helped. Can't remember what it's called ATM. I made a BM a couple days after labor with both my boys.

The bottle! It works. Lol. But I usually just stood in the shower to pee because it was easier. I totally cleaned the shower a bunch of times.
