Baby Girl Name!

posted 4th Jan
So my hubby and I agreed on a few names, we fell in love with one. But since we've told people, we either get LOVE it, or HATE, HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE it. I don't get it?! Lol - obviously we like it which of course is all that matters, but if you could POLITELY tell me why you do or don't like the name, perhaps it will open our eyes to a new name?

None of those. Swayze is just a no go for me. Elliott is spelled wrong and a boys name. Don't ruin a boys name by sticking it on a girl. I you must at least spell it correctly. The y does not make it feminine or cute.

Ellyitt is spelled wrong and it's a boys name.

Swayze reminds me of Patrick Swayze. Just.... no.

I'm not a huge fan of Swayze. I mean it isn't terrible, but I wouldn't give that name to my children. Also, I don't like the spelling of "Ellezabeth" or "Ellyitt" so I guess Swayze Grace, if I HAD to choose.

Both first names are horrendous.

Elliot not Elliyot
Elizabeth not Ellezabeth

Grace and Rose are filler middle names.

We didn't do it after Patrick Swayze, but yes, it is pronounced Swayze like Patrick Swayze. I don't get it! I just think it is so cute! We have an odd last name so we don't have much to work with....but we're trying!

I didn't even notice the spelling of Elizabeth I was so thrown by the spelling of Elliott. Spell the name correctly!

They are family names, we are pretty set on those. But the first names we're open for opinions. And we don't like common spelling. : /

What about Mazie? Instead of Swayze? They sound similar, and I know someone who just named their daughter that.

Swayze? It doesn't sound appealing. It sounds horrible for a first name. I've gotten over Elliot being used on girls but I will never get over spelling names wrong, especially to make them more "feminine".
