Get used to people spelling it not the way you want. People are going to look at you like your insane when you spell her name.

It makes you look illiterate to be honest. My name has a "unique"(butchered) spelling and I don't get any comments on how it looks more feminine. It looks horrid.

Don't change the spelling to make is more attractive. She has to deal with that for the rest of her life, not you. It will be hard on her enough having to have a traditional boys name, spelling it wrong will make it a million times worse.

Yes! People IRL sugar coat so bad. Smurf... I do it!

This is what I was going to put. I usually stay out of the baby name debates but these are all horrible !!

I just asked my hubby today if he liked Charlotte. I'm not aHUGE fan of it, but it's kind of growing on me.....

no I honestly don't... I find it odd when people replace i's for y's & other variations... I don't think it would be that bad if you just spelled it Elliot.

It looks like a grade 1 student tried to spell Elliot and failed miserably. It's terrible. Actually both names are terrible!

I get countless comments on my daughters old lady name. Rarely any on my sons unique name lol.

Yep! My friend has an Emma. She told me she wanted another name that started with a T... I can't remember what it is right now, but it was awful.

I just smiled and was like yeahhh, cute. Though I'm glad you picked Emma....

at the end of the day she is her own person, she won't be a baby forever. I honestly don't think she would like having a name spelled like that. & nobody in here is being a hater, omg
