Just curious, does your horoscope describe your personality? I am cancer and mine seriously describes me EXACTLY. Kind of weird actually

Cancer

The positive Cancerian is gentle, kind-hearted, romantic and sensitive. You have a wonderful imagination and you might express your creativity through music, poetry and/or art. Cancer Signs and Negative Personality Traits
The negative Cancerian can be moody and over-sensitive. Yes! LOL. That is what made me look up mine haha

I'm a Libra. And it does for certain things. Likes balance, sensitive. Artsy personality etc....

But some areas its way off. Lol

Astrology is a great tool for personal growth and for understanding other people.

The issue (for me) comes in when people assume that a person's sun sign is the whole of astrology, and/or make major decisions in either their own life or their relationships based on astrology. It's a tool, and a person's birth chart is meant to represent the placement of the planets at the exact moment of birth. It shows a person's possibility; it does not show how evil a person is, or how good a person is.



The sign the sun is in only changes every month. I don't think anyone would argue that every person born in July is the same... or any given month. And they're not.

There are other planets. There is the placement of the sun at the time of birth, which changes where the other planets are placed in the person's chart.



Personally, when I look at a chart (and I'm no professional!) I look at patterns. Does this person have a lot of planets in one element, are they missing an element, or are they balanced? How does this person's sun sign and ascendant work together, or does one hinder the other, or mask it? Where is the moon, Is it in an element that is comfortable expressing emotions?

Definitely the sun sign is important... but it's how the planets aspect each other and how the chart is as a whole that's really going to give you some insight into a person's possibility.
