BEST AFFORDABLE HOLIDAYS?

posted 4th Jan
Me and some friends are thinking of going on holidays in september, about 1 week or 15 days to somewhere nice and relatively cheap (no more than $900).

The thing is we are thinking of going to London, then Paris, then Rome. 3 cities in a row.. But since that's almost the same value of a 5 day stay in NYC.. we were left a bit confused.

What were your best holidays? where? how much did you pay?

Plus.. have you heard anywhere is good and affordable?

all places are welcomed

How about renting a vacation home for a week? That would be more cost effective than a hotel, and you could split costs?

Me and my best friend drove from Holland to Paris, we had a blast, but Paris and London are pretty expensive city's. Have you looked into Barcelona at all? It's really pretty down there

I went to India last year for two weeks. Other than the flight, it was cheap. Spent an average of $15 a day eating well and staying in nice hotels.

What kind of things do you like to do?

And what type of places would be good weather-wise in Sept?

I mean, Niagara Falls is gorgeous, as are locations in the Adirondacks (ADKS you can find amazing vacation rentals for very reasonable) but it might be starting to get cooler around Sept.

Hmm. There are some great places in the Smokey Mountains?

We've all been to Barcelona.. Well, London and Paris, too! lol! But we have a free place to sleep in London.. And we're trying to get one in Rome too.. so we would only spend money in a hotel for paris.. Which would be quite reasonable

She's in Portugal. The flight to the states would be very expensive.

exactly. That's what I was going to say. It's a very nice place.. The smokey mountains just make me BREATHLESS!   But the flight 's price would be so high

You could go to Morocco and Tunisia and then work up to Rome. Both Morocco and Tunisia are very beautiful, tourist friendly countries.
