my husband does it twice a week. He gets sometimes up to 50 bucks a session. It builds up tho, depending on how often you do it. You have to be healthy, no illness, STD, STI,ect. Eat alot of protein and drink ALOT of water.

There is a plasma place a few doors down from my office. It is mostly really trashy people hanging out outside waiting to get it done. I think they get $50 the first time and then $20 after

So it's not like normal donating blood?

Eh, I don't want to look trashy. I just want to make a little extra money. Things are tight right now.

I looked into clinical research places but I'm not sure how much I trust them.

I did it for a while right after i turned 18. There are a lot of guidelines and rules that need to be met. Certain meds you can't do it. Other things will make it so you cant do it either, but every center is different, so it'd be best to call the center and ask. I got $50 the first two times, and then donated twice a week. First time of the week was $20, second was $30.

And yes its different than blood, the needle is huge and it takes your blood out of your body, it goes through and removes the plasma and then puts the blood back into your body.

The needle is actually smaller than one they use in the hospital to draw blood ...

The one here is disgusting. Like an assembly line of trashy people waiting in line to sell plasma..most look like addicts. I went once and walked right out
