I'm for it, but I wish they'd just take them out and shoot them right away. Instead of wasting all the time and money.

Yes, it is more costly than housing an imate for life.

I'm pro death penalty. I think, and I could be wrong, that it costs way more to feed/clothe someone for 20 to 40 years till they die, then it would to just kill them and get it over with. IMO.

I am for the death penalty, if they can prove without any doubt that the person committed the crime (which is usually in murder cases...obviously). The person they killed did not have the choice to live, so why should they? It may be expensive to execute them, but then again it is very expensive to keep them in prison for life. And if we were more strict with the laws (and execution) I believe that that could possibly curb some of the crimes (murders) that are being committed.

Hangings are cheaper! I wouldn't even waste a bullet on half the scum in prison.

I am PRO death sentence for crimes against children, the elderly and murder.

I was abused as a child by my mothers husband (NOT my father) sexually and physically for 6 years of my childhood and all he got was a slap on the wrist (8 years). He was a repeat offender. Now as an adult I am still worried ALL THE TIME about him finding me and killing me. I would honestly prefer him to be dead so that i don't have to keep looking over my shoulder and have the constant thought shadowing in the back of my mind about "what if he finds me".

I wish the death penalty was available here :/

Google the cost break down. The money doesn't just go to the lethal injection. That's only a small part of the costs.

It's costly because of all of those appeals and paper work. Putting a bullet in someone's head or injection in someone's arm isn't all that expensive, but the system makes it so.

Im pro death penalty. You don't waste money on people who are just sitting in jail for the rest of their lives. Plus those people will know when they kill someone they might end up getting the death penalty so it's a choice they make. My dad has been in police work for years and as he got older started working in the prisons. He worked in a maximun secruity prison for about 15 years so maybe Im biased from hearing my dads opinions for my whole life. My mom has pictures of me from when I was 3 wearing smurfs that say things like "Youve never seen a hardened criminal escape from the ground"
