Bizarre Rash

Last night I noticed this strange rash cropping up all over my body. I actually noticed it only because when I got in the shower my skin felt like it had hot coals being pressed against it. I had this splotchy redness covering my skin from my belly button down to my knees and on my arms. No matter what temperature the water was, my skin was burning. It was agonizing. When I got out, I slathered myself in hydrocortisone and after about 30 minutes I felt much better. Now today my skin still feels sore and raw, but the redness is gone.

Any ideas on what it could be? I was going to call my doctor today, but now that the redness is gone I have nothing to show him, my skin just feels raw...

I had something simlar when pregnant. Was told its hormonal. Since having him I haven't had it.
