Enjoying Labor & Birth :)

posted 4th Jan
Ok I know this sounds crazy but I think my favorite part of being pregnant was giving birth. I actually look back on it and I enjoy the thought of labor now. I didn't have an epidural so I felt all of the pain until about thirty minutes before I had my little boy when I gave in and took a ml of IV medication. And next time I know I will go all natural since I was induced with pitocin and the contractions were stronger than they should have been. Did any other mother enjoy labor and birth?

I've had 4 natural, unmedicated births and I loved it! It's not the most fun thing at the time, but it's so exciting!
I can't wait until time for this little one to make its appearance!

doesn't sound crazy at all.   My mother went all natural with all 5 of us and LOVED it. loved every second. She said it was a good pain.   and i never understoon untill i went through it. I never actually gave birth, i had to have a c-section in the end but the 4 days i laboured before and everything leading up the c-section i loved and will do again as soon as the other half will let me! lol. xx

I am so happy so many other people enjoyed it. Lol I think I could do it for a living too. It was a fantastic feeling. I didn't enjoy my pregnancy all that much but I think it was because I was overweight. We are waiting a couple years to have another baby and I am already looking forward to birth again

I enjoyed my labor and delivery. I reached 6cm without feeling almost a thing (arrived at the hospital at 5cm after my water broke; if my water hadn't broken I wouldn't have had a clue I was even in labor to begin with!). I got an epidural but it was one of the one in 10 that apparently don't work and only my right leg was numb, nothing else. I felt everything and it did get painful around 8cm or so but it was not unbearable and I wasn't having to breathe through the contractions or anything. I didn't even have a hard time with pushing until about the last 30 minutes. That, however, made up for the easygoing labor process as it hurt like hell! I've never been in so much pain. I was begging god or whoever to just let me pass out, lol. Looking back on it I wish I had embraced it more and next time I have a child I plan on not getting an epidural now that I know I can more or less handle a natural birth.

I loved every minute of it, especially my 2nd delivery. I was totally prepared for it and felt no pain. I have a high pain tolerance and contractions really didnt hurt. It was like a mad rush of adrenaline and excitement. I cant really explain it.

I loved it so much that even though we have finished having kids of our own we are considering being a surrogate fir close friends or family. I actually had somebody who I was gonna offer it too but cant now because after 5 yrs, 2 failed IUI, and one perfect IVF, they are expecting!!!
