Quoting *~*allykat*~*:" I have the implanon, almost 2 years now. Haven't gained any extra weight. I have periods maybe every ... [snip!] ... replaced because it fell out, her boyfriend often complains about feeling the strings from it while having sex. She hates it."
Quoting Tay L:" Wow! Answers are all over the place... I'm starting to think I should go with implanon first. If that ... [snip!] ... pregnant and it forcing my body to have a miscarriage. (That's the thing I've read most about it and why people hate it.)"Exactly. I had my first child when I was still a teenager, and when I got married, we had to try to for 3 years to get pregnant, and I miscarried 3 times. We have no idea why, but when I was in my teens I wasn't on bc at all. And up until I had the Mirena put in, I wasn't on anything. Funny how as soon as it gets taken out, my Dr. told me some people can get pregnant immediately, myself, however, would have a 50% less likely chance because I only had 1 functioning tube. For the rest of my life now, (or until I have it removed) I will be in pain because of the fluid in the tube.
