Fetal Hydrops, Please, Please answer

posted 4th Jan
I had my 20 weeks ultrasound and they found out that my baby girl has Fetal Hydrops. She has extra fluid in her lungs, heart, and under her skin.
Doctors are pushing me to termintate the pregnancy. I don't want to they say there is no way she will survive. She will die in utero, or soon after she is born. Please, Pleaes i beg you if you know anything about this help me. If you have frind that know please get them to comment on this post. I am devistated with this outcome. Please pray for me and baby Gracie. Please help if you know any answers. A mother to a mother.

A friend on here lost her baby girl at 22 weeks and she had hydrops... she was given the option to terminate but decided to let nature take its course.

No they can't. I am just praying we have a miracle and she loses all the fluid. But until then I will not terminate the pregnancy. I want to give her a chance.

I found this on google. I know there is a mama on here who just posted a labor story where her baby's fluid gradually disappeared as she got closer to her due date but I can't find it.

Praying

Just stick to your guts. Honestly it would make me feel bettter to keep the baby in as long as possible and let whatever happen, happen.

I am incredibly sorry for you! I cant imagine. Id be calling other doctors, researching, all over too not just usa cause some countries are ahead of us in these things and just seeing what else could be done. Even if they say nothing can be done, there's always teh chance of a miracle, they happen every day! Lot of diseases disappear without any explanation. I dont want to give false hope, but you said you were letting nature take its course and I would too on the hope of said miracle! my mentality would be if I was going to lose the baby, Id let it happen naturally not let a doctor determine when ti was going to happen or else Id always wonder if there would have been a chance.

Either way I am thinking of you and hoping that you all come out of this victoriously! fluid can go down, its not common, but we're getting new advances in medical technology daily, who says this cant be the next?!
