Could you blend it and put it in a fruit smoothie?

How do u know they were starving? Pumping doesn't work well free your milk regulates. A lot of mamas give up around that time because that's when milk usually regulates and they feel like they don't have enough.

That can screw things up from the get go.   did u have colostrum the other times though?

they were throwing fits. even hand expressing...sleeping I never leaked through anything! It was so odd.
I never ever once dealt with breast milk leaking.
I just assumed nothing was coming out! I didn't even engorge or anything

That's what I was thinking. Grind up the oatmeal first then there's no texture at all.

Good I hope the colostrum is a good sign then   don't let past experiences alter your mind set or make you give up prematurely. Your body is kickin in this time and you can do this. Just get baby to breast immediately. If you do skin to skin most babies will wiggle their way to the boob on their own. You don't even have to put them on it. Just lay them on your chest.

I usually do that RIGHT away at the hospital. I do a lot of skin to skin at home too. Especially when they were in my moby. I wouldn't wear a shirt and put the moby on and shove them in that if I had stuff to get done around the house.

OP - Im due around the same time as you   I EBF my son through chemo - the nurses and doctors wanted him on a feeding tube, my emotions where out of whack and I was under more stress then I ever though imaginable....but I did it.

I will be here with you every step of the way for our next babies okay? Ill help you anyway I can.

For now I suggest reading through breastfeeding threads, see the suggestions BG mamas have given, cause I agree with 'lolajessup' BG mamas are amazingly educated and supportive about breastfeeding.
And read books about it.
Stress and thinking 'you cant do it' will be you MAJOR blockers, I noticed this first hand with my son. I would sit and think of all the things great in life, his body getting stronger and him being cured, grown and happy...I am a big believer in thoughts/imagery.

Water is your best friend. I am not big on alternatives like fenugeek and mothers milk.....but thats just me. See if you can find a LC that you like now and have her on the road with you

I was going to ask my OB if he knew of any when I see him on the 17th.
I fully plan on talking to a BUNCH of BG momma's on this journey. I've been really good about the water intake lately. I've really only had a small glass of coke once in a while lately to help with my nausea.
Thank you <3
