That seems like some pretty obsessive behavior. Especially the night time routine and the shorts thing.

He's always been like this. Just every so often it switches from one behavior to another. He also has a thing with doors. They ALL have the be completely shut in the house or he will freak until he can shut every single one.

I think there is a fine line between being particular about things and having a genuine obsessive compulsive disorder. I think he is showing signs of having OCD. I don't know too much on the subject as far as children go, but it's worth a mention to your Pedi if you haven't already

My friend was like this & he had OCD. When he ate his food has to be eaten in a certain order & he had a strict morning routine he had to follow

I'm not really looking for a diagnosis. He's been in therapy before for major sensory issues - but he's overcome a lot. It just seems like when he's over something, he moves on to the next. I guess I can bring it up to the pedi I just feel dumb making an appointment just for his weird habits.

Roland is like this. If his routine isn't followed the whole day is ruined. I mean he's able to go outside an hour later than he normally does, or go grocery shopping instead of watching a certain TV show. But if he doesn't eat, sleep, and eat at the exact time he wants to - all hell breaks loose.

I don't know much about OCD & kids. Maybe look in the special needs forum on here to find other moms who's kids do the same

I gotcha. Maybe you can look online for some therapies to do at home with him? to ease the behavior?
