Random Inverted Nipples

While I was pregnant my Nipples randomly became inverted, they pop out when they become errect. I also bled out of my left nipple a little. Both of which my docter, midwife, and the breast specialist at the hospital could not explain! And just shrugged me off saying it'll go back to normal once you've had the baby.

Well they were right about the bleeding, that stopped just before I had Dexter (still have no clue what caused it) but my nipples are still inverted 3 months pp. They've ALWAYS been normal. they've never inverted before. I do have a follow up appointment at the hospital about it in February.

I just wondered if anyone has any idea about this? did your nipples invert during pregnancy and then not go back to normal? If so whyyyy!? lol. Thank you ladies. x

I read it could be a symptom of Paget's disease, though I hope it's not. It's more likely to happen in women over the age of 50. It's a type of breast cancer.

Hopefully you figure it out, and its not that severe!

this had crossed my mind and my docters and he send me for a ultrasound and exam on my breasts but the breast consultant at the hospital felt them and said come back in 6 months and we'll check again they never even layed me down for the ultrasound!. i got pretty angry, i drove 2 hours to get there, 3 hours in the waiting room at 8 months pregnant on plastic chairs to be told to go home. lol. I kicked up a fuss saying "surely if my doctor was concerned enough after his exam to send me for an ultrasound then surely that's what i should bloody get!" I just got some snotty nurse in my face saying "his felt 100000s of breast, he knows what his on about" lol. I just don't think I got fair treatment.

I know for sure i'm not leaving there In Feb without an ultrasound.

Wow, really? He just sent you on you merry way? Thats pathetic. I would have been furious.

yea just sent me away. I was with my sister and she did the angry talking for me (she's ALOT braver than me. lol!) I saw the computer screens and stuff, they had my name and files there ready, all they had to do was do the scan quick but they just sent me away instead, Seems bloody stupid. I plan on getting a decent examination next time. I just don't understand why on all these telly adverts and posters plastered all over the hospitals and docters they say "if you have any of these symtoms come see us as soon as you can" and then when you go in with them they fob you off!
