re: major concerns(sorry kinda long)

A friend of mine just went through this not too long ago... her Dr pushed her to wait until 36wks because she was way behind in growth..when the baby was born she was still around 3 1/2- 4 lbs..

I would ask for steriod shots because they do help a lot. I recieved them at 27 wks and had my son at 33wks and he was able to breathe without help... As for your baby, if they aren't capable of handling her most hospitals will transfer her to a better hospital with a higher level NICU. I would see if you can set up a appt with your hospitals Neonatalogist & to see how they run your NICU and such. When i was 27 weeks & in labor they came in and talked to me.. Told me all the procedures that my son may/may not need.. All the rules and such. It helped a lot to speak with the lead of the NICU and i loved all of the ladies who worked there.. so caring and attentive to the babies
