Steubenville High School rape

If you haven't heard of this case you probably should. A group of teen boys slip a girl a roofie and drag her body from party to party where she was gang raped by members of the local high school football team. The girl's parents go to the police and are basically scared into backing down. The boys are all connected by someone holding a high office within the small town that treats their football players like gods. With boys posting pictures like this on instagram and twitter only TWO are charged.

What do the town folk of Steubenville have to say about the case?


I am normally for innocence until proven guilty but these boys have boasted about their assault on this girl. They shot videos discussing about how she was "deader than Trayvon Martin. Deader than Caylee Anthony" and commented about how someone shouldn't sleep through anal sex. Yet instead of showing concern about the girl who was "dead" they shoot a video joking about how they raped her. As someone who has been a victim of intoxication rape, I can not even imagine what this girl is going through right now. Details of the events that she will not remember are being posted on line for the world to see and her attackers are throwing high fives to each other while a community of adults make excuses for the boys involved as "locker room boy talk" and "boys will be boys." Have you heard of this case?



If these were your sons would you try your best to protect and shield them or would you be outraged with their behavior? I personally believe that if my son was involved in a situation such as this that I would take his ass to the police and make him speak on what he knows.

This saddens me and is disgusting!  

I'm confused. Is the girl that was raped alive or did she die? That whole story confused me.

Id best his ass and then drag him down to the police station!

I'd beat him stupid then make him talk to the police and give them all the info he knows, he also wouldn't be on a football team and there would be a high chance his ass would be headed for boot camp.

If I had a son and he was part of this, I'd make him drop from the football team, beat the daylights out of his ass and make him sing like smurfing Alisha Keys about every single one of the people involved.

And I would be bullying the smurf out of the other parents until they did the same.

IMO the whole thing is disgusting. I hope they push for a trial in a different county and the prosecutor does a damn good job of weeding out the people who support the team, through hell and high water. Also, if they have proof of who was involved they should be arrested...

But I'm speculating that they are free so they can play the two sides against each other. The guys on lockdown screaming this unfair so and so did this and this and this. And the guys on the outside thinking they got off with nothing and talking...

Being my child doesn't exclude you from the law. I would take my son to the police station, drag him half naked, the way he did the girl.

I am so disgusted by this, and i can't believe how close this is to us. Makes me hug DD even closer. That poor girl.

That's horrible and makes me nauseous. I can't imagine something like that being displayed so publicly and bragged about. If I were a parent of one of the boys involved I'd take him straight to the police and make damn sure he never played football or any team sport again.

Oh man, if one of my sons did that... honestly I'd probably need to be locked up so I wouldnt beat his damn ass.

From what I understand the boys who were accused are currently on house arrest and the judge as ordered the victim to not speak on the situation to the media. The media in the area didn't even pick up on the story and it wasn't until someone on the outside saw all of the tweets and instagram pics did anyone push for prosecution.

If I had a son, after I....I actually don't know what I would do to him....but if he was involved in this, I would drag his ass to the police station by his ear, and he would tell them everything he knew.
