They don't. They don't make it through the first year of college. One dude who played my senior year turned 20 during the season and had two children already. my hubby and i were just talking about this. The case came to light again even though it happened last summer, because the group Knight Sec hacked the school's football team website and posted a message that if the attackers don't come forward by New Years, they will post names, addresses, ssn's, and family members names of attackers out there.

The only thing I disagree with is posting ssn's and family members names (depending on how they are related, for example if they post a brother/sister's name and they didn't know about it then that would ruin their life. People would harass them. Remember when that paper released what they thought was Zimmerman's parent's address, the couple that lived there was no relation to him and still had to move because of the threats they were getting). Other than that, good for them not letting those rapists remain anonymous.

My phone wouldn't open the link when I tried earlier. But I don't see an issue with releasing their identity and address, ssn is still a little much and unnecessary.

I find issue with releasing family members names. They didn't rape the girl so why should they be punished? Unless there is solid proof that these parents went above and beyond to cover up the crime then they should be left in peace.

She said the link said it was only family members that participated in the cover up.

They did. One of the Mom's is the defense attorney and bullied the girl and her parents into not reporting it.

I think that was the only parent...the rest were assistant coach's that helped cover up her rape, and there's evidence of 3 other unknown females. And the obviously put that POS Sheriff up there

I think it's pretty sad they had all but gotten away with this until an internet hacktivist group got hold of it   Anonymous are now posting it all over facebook and have really gotten hold of it and if Anonymous decide to take problem with you then you are pretty much smurfed!

It broke my heart that nothing was being done because football players are treated like Gods there. I haven't really followed all Anon does, but I'm glad they ripped this the smurf open. I hope they all pay for their involvement in either her rape, the cover-up or the bullsmurf lie that got her to go out there in the first place.

Anonymous are an internet hacktivist group essentially but they hack and protest over big moral issues, they will step in when they feel an injustice is being done and the appropriate authority isn't doing their job properly. I have no doubt if the appropriate justice isn't carried out Anonymous will get them, they are pretty screwed now to be honest.

I hope Anon destroys these boys' lives in every way possible. This cover-up is outrageous!

Lawyers now requesting court is postponed and trial takes place somewhere else as they believe it will be a tainted trial in Steubenville...... I'm not sure where they think they can go where there isn't going to be mass protest. It is an international news story, Europeon main news stations are broadcasting, people from all over the world are aware because of social media, Anonymous has taken problem with them and they are a worldwide organisation..... I think they probably don't actually realise the sheer enormity of the situation and it's about time they realise, they are royally smurfed!
