My Fitness Pal question

When it says I should be getting 1200 calories per day, is that net (after working out) or just total food calories? I noticed I had 64 calories left but after entering my exercise total it jumped to 194...

I've always thought it was like warning back calories that you could still use?

1200 is what you can eat from food on a day you don't work out. If you work out, you get to eat more. That's why when you enter in a workout, it adds calories allowed to your daily intake. BUT it doesn't make sense to me because I've always heard you need to burn more calories than you consume to lose weight... but that will never happen if you eat the calories you burn, ya know...

I think it means total. Since you exercised it factors in your calories you burned. So as you said it went from 64- 194. So it put back the calories your burned.
