If its not a Uti, what could it be?

I called the doc office for the answering sevice new years day. I have been having symptoms like a uti. burning, the sides of my back hurt are the main symptoms and I also have been having a little spotting not a ton just a little after I go. Well the doc said to come in the next day to do a urine test, which was fine with my this would have been my third uti this pregnancy...So I go in and it takes almost another day for a nurse to call me back and tell me that they aren't sure exactly what it is thats wrong..that it could be a uti or something else, so they are doing a culture (sp) on it and it will take an extra day or so...if they thought it could be something serious they would have let me know today right, when she called about the results?

I really don't think they could find if it was something serious in urine. They're probably doing a culture to be sure what kind of infection it is so they can treat it with the proper antibiotics.

maybe a kidney stone or bladder stones i had bladder stones very painful but i could see the clots in my urine

I don't know why I keep getting them. The last 2 times it was just the one test and they put me on an antibiotic and it got better by the end of the week. its been about a month or 2 tho. I have GD, but my blood sugar has been normal and nothing higher then a trace in my keytones so I didn't know if they were looking into something else or not.

no clots but I do have protien. it started when I was 24weeks..

its possible you could have kidney stones my hubby has 3 and has had them for 5 yrs and they wont do anything for him cus our hospitals suck and he gets burning when he pees random rust color urine and severe pain in his lower and middle back i would go to the doc and get checked sweetie

The nurse said that she would call tomorrow. my husband is at work till 7 in the morning then il be leaving at 8 to work. I have my next apt monday..Il definately keep an eye on things. I don't want my little girl to have problems from this, she has been moving around a lot tonight tho.

yea the sooner you take care of it the better although i think your lil one will be fine even if you need surgery to remove them i know alot of ppl who had it done they laser the stones out and there is even medication to brake down the stones cus they gave me some for mine
