another umbilical cord question

My DD is 2 weeks old and her umbilical cord is still attached. Today I was giving her a sponge bath and noticed a lot of blood coming from her belly button. Her umbilical cord was "loose" like its gonna fall out soon.. but is it normal for it to be bleeding?

its very normal if there is a small amount of blood and doesnt smell. the hospital gave me some saline and cotton balls to clean it but you just have to make sure u dont go in the hole and just on the outside and keep it clean!
