Mucus Plug??

Hello Everyone,

This is my first pregnancy, so I have no idea what to expect. I think I just lost my mucus plug or part of it. It looked like a string of snot with a tiny bit of red in it. I'm 34 weeks & 5 days. Should I be worried? I just don't want to go into preterm labor! My baby girl needs to bake longer! Should I call my doctor? When did you guys lose your plug and how long after did you go into labor?

yep that sounds like your mucus plug. Unless you start having contractions and your water breaks, you should be fine. I lost mine at 39 weeks and went into labor that night.

Okay, thank you! I haven't had any contractions yet and my water hasn't broke. Do you think I should call my doctor tomorrow and let him know?

sounds like your mucus plug but dont fret. A lot of women lose their mucus plug and it can rebuild itself. Unless your water breaks or you are having contractions you are not going into labour just yet.

totally up to you. but honestly, as I said before, unless you're having contractions (regularly spaced out...) or anything of that sort, I wouldn't worry about it. You can go days or weeks before you go into labor.

I lost mine when I was about 30 weeks but I had to be induced for my labour.
You can tell your dr if you feel worried but its not really a big deal, its not something that can't wait for your next visit.

Oh wow, you lost yours early! I'll take your word ladies. I'll just wait until my next appointment in 2 weeks. Unless my water breaks or I start getting bad contractions. Thanks for the info! I feel better now.
