SUDAFED

i have an upper respiratory infection and the doctor gave me a list of medications you can take during pregnancy theres no specific details on there it just says names of the medicine. when he saw me i told him i had the URI and he said to just take sudafed it will clear it right up and sudafed is on the list. well on the box it says it has pseudoephedrine. in it and on some websites it says that pseudoephedrine isnt safe during pregnancy that it can affect the blood flow from the placenta.. now im really confused ughh

Just based off what you just posted... I wouldn't take it during pregnancy.

Its a class c drug, meaning that it has not been deemed safe, but also not unsafe i believe. It should only be taken if the benefits outweigh the risks.

I took regular sudafed during pregnancy, it was fine.

I've been taking Sudafed for the past few days. I talked to my doctor today and she said it's fine.

whats regular sudafed it says sinus pressure and congestion relief i didnt know what kind to get because on the paper it just says sudafed it didnt say what specific type

Every type of Sudafed has the same risks.

Alkaseltzer or how ever you spell it works lol I took if when I had my URI , I took the purple.pills for colds
