Idk what to do

So the flu is going around like crazy, 5 people at my job called out today because of it. And now I think I got it, my stomach has been feeling gassy and weird all night and I've been having pains, and I just had diarrhea. So now I'm scared about going to work tomorrow, we get in trouble if we call in, and I called in last Friday due to my back hurting bad. So I'm scared to call in tomorrow, but if I go there im scared ill be stuck in the bathroom or constantly having diarrhea or end up throwing up, and that my boss won't let me leave. I work at a daycare and she has made people stay before who were throwing up, or are really sick with fevers and all. If there's not enough coverage she doesn't care if we're sick. So I'm afraid ill be stuck there if I go. So idk what to do

1) that isn't the flu
2) call in if you don't feel good. It isn't good to expose the kids even more to that than what they already are
and 3) the flu is a respiratory virus not puking/diahreah.

You would think working at a daycare your boss would encourage you to stay home so you don't get all the kids sick. Sorry you're sick, hopefully it doesn't last long.

IMO if your sick stay home...if you work in a day care you dont need to get all the kids sick too

She wouldn't let you leave if you were sick around children? That's smurffy of her.
I'd be pretty pissed if I was a parent and saw a sick person taking care of my child.

Well everyone who has had the flu has thrown up or had diarrhea, plus aches and a fever and they've gone to the doctor and was told that's what they had. And my boss doesn't give a smurf, she lets kids stay there who r sick, the girl I work with left to go to the doctors today bc she wasn't feeling good, ending up with bronchitis and a sinus infection, told me boss and my boss told her she had to come back to work

I know, she does It all the time, and then wonders why everyone else is sick and gets all pissed when we call out

Were they swabbed for it? Probably not because the flu is a respiratory virus that causes extreme respiratory distress and high fevers and body aches. Seriously very very rarely does the flu come with vomitting or diahreah. If they had influenza (the flu) they would be told to be out of work for at least 7 days with a doctor's note.

Well maybe it's the stomach flu or stomach bug then, I always thought you threw up with the flu. I don't ever remember having it though so idk.

nopppeee Like the flu vaccine isn't for the puking it is for respiratory issues that come on rapidly and are pretty dangerous. http://www.hyphed.com/2012/07/0-false-18-pt-18-pt-0-0-false-false_12.html

Oh ok, I thought I was starting to go into labor at first, but then I didn't think that's what it would feel like.

Just keep an eye on it. Plenty of fluids.
Also you can go ahead and follow a plain diet just to keep it from getting severe and I would personally take off work tomorrow. You are almost due and you know you need to recover fast.

Ok, thank you. And I'm scared to call in because I did last Friday and I don't want them pissed at me, I get so stressed about it. But I don't want to be stuck there, miserable

I would call in and get a doc's note if possible so you have all your basis covered. Let them get mad, but I know the parents will appreciate you not coming in when you aren't feeling well

Do you think it's just from being sick or could it be the start of labor? Because I would have no idea
