re: how to get that stink out of bottles!?

posted 3rd Jan
thanks ladies, I'd throw them away but we literally bought all new ones about a month ago. They are the Playtex bottles/nipples. they never use to smell but I'm thinking since DS got his formula changed that it has a stronger after smell??

I'm going to try the vinegar and baking soda remedies and if they still continue to have that smell I'll trash them and start off with new ones.

and we don't have a dishwasher at the moment   SO broke it.

If you toss them, try glass they clean really well.

are they more expensive? and what brand do you suggest? I've never seen glass bottles and Babies R Us, probably because I've never really looked lol

Right now we use Playtex.

Some of them are, like the born free brand. But you can buy a pack of 3 gerber ones for about 4$. They have them anywhere like target, Walmart, BRU.

ok thanks girl! I'm going to try washing them with the vinegar/baking soda and if they still have that weird smell I'll toss them and invest in some glass ones.

We've had this same problem since switching to pediasure. Post if it works or not. I'll have to look into glass but DD smacks the bottle out of our hands sometimes and I don't want to break them.
