RSV.

Well took my baby girl to her two-month well check and after telling her doctor two different times that she was sick and him saying she was fine he made us take her to get x-rays and a cotton swab put inside her nose because he thought she had RSV they said she just had a cold i cried for my baby girl because they hurt her she screamed bloody murder and i walked outta the lab balling my eyes out and my mom sat there and was like don't cry it'll be okay cause her dad couldn't come because no room in our truck which sucked. Anyways it just breaks my heart to see my baby get that stuff done and not be feeling good at all i just wish she wasn't sick no more it sucks. .  

RSV swabs don't hurt them. She screamed because it's something different, someone stuck something up her nose ... she doesn't understand. Don't worry she's okay! I sure hope she feels better soon. My son (3 months tomorrow) has been feeling pretty rotten too.

They don't hurt, they just feel weird. Basically, stick a qtip up your nose...you'll probably tear up too lol. RSV can be very dangerous though, and it's incredibly important to have it diagnosed, especially if your baby was early. In extreme cases, it CAN be fatal. With the right treatment though, it's much better.

The nasal swabs don't hurt them. Babies just don't like being smurfed with, especially when they feel bad.

Awww it's ok mama! I know just how you feel. When DS was 4 months old he had a bit of blood in his poop and we took him in. They had to do an ultrasound on his tummy, and took x-rays, plus he was sick and had no sleep, and it was completely heart breaking. Try to look on the brightside. At least it is just a cold. Hope you guys feel better soon!

Thank you.^ And i do realize they say it don't hurt them but i had to get that done when i had caught swine flu and they told me it wouldn't hurt and it did i cried for hours it was terrible i just hate when she cries like she is in pain it just breaks my heart especially since this is my first baby.

When I had swine flu they said the same to me it won't hurt, and it didn't hurt it just felt uncomfortable and weird. I'm sure it depends on whoever is doing it. Your baby has forgotten all about it by now though (: Hope she's feeling better today!

I was hoping she'd feel better today also but she has slept the day away and wakes up once every two or three hours to eat and she'll only eat maybe one or two ounces because she can't breathe out of her little nose it stinks and her doctor said not to force her let her eat on her own she is burning up but she don't have a fever.

Yeah all the time and it don't help.

Have you sat with her in the bathroom with the shower running as hot as it can go and just breath in the steam?

Do you have a humidifier in her room??

No, its in our living room.

Yes very true! My son had RSV after his father came home from business for Thanksgiving. It didnt seem to alarming at first but then after 2 days when i took him back to the doctors they sent me to the hospital and he ended up in Childrens hospital with oxygen support for a week. It was terrifying and I dont want to alarm you but definitely follow up with your dr.
