getting induced in the 8th 2nd pregnancy
posted 3rd Jan
So i have been 3cm and 75% effaced for 3 weeks with no change or contractions, so we set the date to induce for the 8th. I'm worried that i won't dilate, my first pregnancy my water broke and i was in labor for only 2 hours. Im just concerned how my first labor will compare to this one in length since its induction.
If you have had both natural and induced labor how did they compare?

I havent been in that situation, but I just wanted to say best of luck, and I hope you go on your own before your induction date

I was the same way with my second and then I was 4 cm the week before my due date. I ended up going on my due date and it went very fast. From my first contraction (they started at about 2 1/2 min apart) it was only 2 hrs before I hit 10 cm. You might sill go before you're induction. Good luck!

My 1st was induced it took a little less than 4 hrs. 2nd natural a little over 12hrs one of shoulders got stuck on the way out. 3rd one 3 hrs even though he was stuck a little and my heaviest he really wanted out he was natural. No pain meds for any of my labors I found the pain to be a bout the same for all.

I can't say much but to keep active. I was going to be induced on a Tuesday and Friday morning before DD decided she was ready to come out!

With my son I was 3 cm at 35+5. I delivered at 36+2 after only 1 hr 46 minutes of labor. Contractions started all on their own and I didnt need any help with pit or anything.
With my daughter I was 5 cm at 36+2. I delivered at 36+3 after only 36 minutes of labor. My labor was augmented by having my waters broken and a tiny bit of pit. I progressed instantly and had no problems dilating.

Thanks ladies, i hope he decides to show on his own, but if not i hope it all goes well. I do feel a little better to here that your inductions went well. I think that's my biggest concern i just want everything to go well.
