is it normal

posted 3rd Jan
Post and run! Ill be back in like an hour or so.

Is it normal for a 10 month old to throw a fit anytime you eat? I don't know how to handle it. He always wants to eat what Im eating and he scarfs it down so Idont even have time to take bites in between his! I tried feeding him before I eat so he would be full but he still wants what I have. I tried just ignoring him but then I feel aweful (he full on SCREAMS. He cries and acts like he's dying.) Is it just a phase? Is it just something I have to stand my ground and not give in until he learns? Im not sure how to stop (or if I even can) this behavior! Any advice what I can do?

Are you feeding him the same thing you are eating?

When you make your plate, put enough on there for him too.

Feed him what you're having
We did this starting at 7-8 months,I would nurse him before and feed him whatever I ate (as long as it was safe of course)

Feed him the same thing you are eating at the same time.

If he's anything like DD it won't matter if he just ate... he wants what you have, to be like you. I just make DD a little bit of what I have and sit down with her and we eat together. It makes for much less fussing and it makes me eat healthier because I know she's going to insist on having some.

If you aren't feeding him the things you're eating, then it sounds like he's ready for that.

I have the opposite problem, my kid won't eat anything.

I think you should just feed him whatever you're eating, OP.

Just let him feed himself. Cleanup is a pain but they love it. I just put a towel or two under the high chair to protect the floor and put them straight in the bath.

We did that with spaghetti. I told h not to worry about cleaning ds off and just bring him to the bathroom. Well he took that at face value and left th noodles on him too so I had a trail of noodles to my bathroom.
