Bottle and bedtime
posted 3rd Jan
So a coworker told me today to not give my son a bottle to put him to sleep. He will be 4 months in a week. What is the reason? Has anyone else heard this?

I've never heard of that. In fact, mor often than not I see mothers using bottle to put their babies to bed. I say do what you think is right. Your the mom after all.

Most infants have a bottle or boob before bed. Maybe they meant dont put him to bed with the bottle like having the bottle in his crib because that can cause bottle rot.

I have never heard of it. When I BF he comfort nursed himself to sleep so usually a warm bottle will put him right to sleep, why shouldn't I give him one

Seeing how your child doesn't have teeth yet I don't see a problem. When they start getting teeth it is because the formula or what you are giving them can rot their teeth. I had to have my 4 front teeth pulled when I was 2. Back then there wasn't warnings on bottle packaging about it.
