What Was the Weight of Your LO Born At 36/37 Weeks?

Hello, my name is Katie. I'm currently 35 weeks 6 days pregnant. My doctor and I are discussing induction at my appt on Monday... I will be 36 weeks 3 days pregnant. I have been having some complications with this pregnancy and asked to be induced early... He told me to wait til at least 36 to 37 weeks. So, I'm just curious as to what your little ones weighed at the time of their births around 36 to 37 weeks...

My son was born at 37w exactly and weighed 7lb 12 oz

36 weeks and 5 days, 4 lbs 15 oz, healthy as an ox.

my son was born at 36 weeks 6 days and weighed 5lbs 6 oz. Completely healthy and went home after 2 days.

DS#1-37 weeks, 6lbs even (underdeveloped lungs, NICU)
DS#2-37 weeks, 35 wees developmental wise (IUGR), 6lbs 13oz (No NICU)

daughter born at 36 weeks she was 5lbs, my son was born at 38 and he was 6lbs7

My daughter was stillborn at 36w and weighed 6lb11oz. My son was born at 37w2d and weighed 8lb8oz - he was induced, but not due to his weight.

i am 36 weeks pregnant went to my last ultrasound found out my baby weighted 6 pounds 10 oz they are guessing she is going to weight at least 8 ponds before she gets here

Ok. so her weight could either way. But I'm also a little concerned because @ the big sonogram I had @ 22 weeks, the u/s had her measuring @ 20 weeks & that changed the due date from Feb 1 to Feb 5... The doctors didn't really give me any details on why that was. But the technician said my doc wouldn't change due date in records because it was only a few days difference. My son, who is now 3, was born 4 days before his due date & he weighed 7lbs 1oz & was about 19.5in. My doc hasn't really told me what he thinks she weighs or anything along those lines.

I wouldn't stress about your LO's weight, honestly.

Guesses on the ultrasound can be off, they said my youngest was 5lbs 12oz two days before he was born. The only reason they look at weight is to determine whether or not additional teams are needed.

My doc hasn't done an u/s since I was around 22 weeks, which is when I had the big sonogram & found out the gender... He just told me to wait til 36/37 weeks to be induced because if she were born now she would be in the NICU.

My oldest was 6lb 6oz born at 36 weeks, my next boy was 6lb 7oz born at 37 weeks.
They were both ok born then, oldest had low blood sugar so had formula overnight then was jaundice so we stayed for 10 days.
Next boy had to have a monitor on over night because his oxygen was a little low but perfect by morning. He was jaundice too so we had to go back to hospital.

What complications are you having?

I started measuring 3 weeks behind at 30 weeks. For every 3 weeks, my son would grow for 1 week. He was IUGR. Born at 36 weeks 5 days, but he only measured between 33 weeks on the ultrasound. Ultrasound predicted him to be 4 lbs 2 oz, he came out 4 lbs 15 oz. No NICU, no oxygen, we were released a day early even!

Don't worry about weight until you have to worry about weight.

Tate was 36+2 and 6 lbs 1 oz.

Bo was 36+3 and 5 lbs 3 oz.
