When do you think is the best time to have a second baby? LO is four months old so we arnt planning for another for awhile but SO brought it up cuz our 4 year old niece is still having a hard time adjusting not being the only "baby". He wants to have another one soon so we dont have to go through that again ( we help take care of my niece) but on the other hand i was high risk with my son. The pregnancy perfect but i had kidney problems that put me in the hospital many times. It worries me to go through that again with a baby/toddler that still is dependant on me. I was thinking maybe start trying around 20months hoping that my son will be potty trained by the time the new baby gets here.
what age do you prefur???

A year and a half was the best age gap. I have as big as 2 years and as small as 1 year. I loved 1.5 years.

Ideally, your body should have at least a year to fully heal. My first 2 are 22 months apart. My nieces are 15 month apart. I think between 2 and 3 years is about perfect... I would've spaced all mine that way had I not gotten a divorce, lol. Now I have an almost 8-yo, 6-yo (as of yesterday!), and 6-month old.

My girls have a 20 month gap. I love it! It's so fun to watch them grow up together.

My daughter is 7 years old and my son is 3 months old. Of course I would have loved to have them a LITTLE closer in age but it's been awesome.
I originally wanted 5 year age difference but things don't always work out that way.
When my daughter was 3,4,5, even 6 she hated the idea of having a baby sibling. But she absolutely FELL IN LOVE with him. It's perfect!

Baby #1 and baby #2 are 4 1/2 years apart that was TERRIBLE !!! Baby #2 and #3 are 18 months apart and I absolutley LOVE that age gap. Baby #3 and #4 are 2 1/2 years apart and its ok but I love the 18 month age gap your still in baby mode and my oldest son didn't really understand it or get jealous so it worked out perfect

Our kids are 20 months apart. We started TTC our 2nd when Tate turned 1 because it took 3 1/2 years to conceive Tate so we figured it would take a long time again. Nope, got pregnant our first try and then Bo came a month early so that made them 20 months apart.
It is pretty good for an age difference. They are really close.

Mine are 2 years and 17 days apart. My oldest was potty trained almost 2 months after his brother was born. My sister and I are 25 months apart. I really like the two year age difference.

Around 3 years between #1 and #2 and over 4 between #2 and #3. I love them both. I like giving my children time to be the baby. I can give them lots of individual attention as the older children are in school. That one on one time is really important to me.

It can take a long time for your AF to start again. So we decided as soon as mine started we would try. It took 14 months for me to get my first AF and that was just a few weeks ago... so now I am on my 2ww if I get pregnant this cycle we will have about 24 months betweek
