SESSION IDEAS

Hey Guys.

I was asked to make a photo shoot to a Boys Band locally. I am not taking any profit from it, because I'm still in a learning process and just looking to add content to my portfolio. The thing is, I have no idea how to photograph a boys band. They're all my age (17) and they'll be using the photos to promote themselves and use it on flyers. Where do I even start to know how I can photograph them & get powerful good shoots?

Where I live, downtown Tulsa is a really great place to take pictures. Maybe you can find an abandoned building?

Look at magazines/online editorials with photo shoots of bands similar in style to this one, it'll give you an idea of what you 'should' be doing, and you can see if you think it looks too cheesy or whatever.

Just have fun with it. Look at a ton of photos before hand, and even save some photos to your phone to look off of throughout the session. The link that the person above provided are great ideas!
